On a trip to my sister-in-law’s home, in North Carolina, we went to Juniper Level Botanic Garden, an intensively planted botanical display gardens covering 6 acres of property in Raleigh, North Carolina. The garden includes a woodland garden, a bog garden, several rock gardens, a southwest garden, a hardy tropical garden, a sunken garden, several perennial and mixed borders, and a waterfall feature. A plant nursery is also on the grounds.

The garden is only open 8 weekends per year, 2 weekends each in winter, spring, summer, and fall and we happened to be there on the lucky weekend. If you’re hoping to visit be sure to check on-line at http://www.plantdelights.com/ for visiting hours.
