Christmas is coming, and with that holiday season comes more Christmas romances. If you don’t now, I love Christmas and Christmas romances. So, to fill out the rest of the Thursdays this year, I’m hosting fellow authors and their Christmas novels.

Today’s guest is Dominique Eastwick who has a Christmas novella in the Sweet Christmas Kisses Anthology. Welcome, Dominique!

Thanks, Catherine.

Ever wonder what spurs and Idea for a book?  For me it can come from anything usually I am sitting in my car at a light but every now and then it’s a news story or some picture I see online. That was the case for Kismet and Cocoa, a short story in the Sweet Christmas Kisses anthology from Decadent.

I saw this picture and immediately I had a story forming in my brain. A war time photographer who had seen the worst of humans stops to take a photo of a piece of art in an empty field. When he returns he finds a shivering kitten in his bike helmet. What more could you want? A small town? Check! A women with a broken heart? Check! A gorgeous man with commitment issues? Check!!! And of course a kitten!!!!

I didn’t read the story behind the picture until long after my own story was done. I didn’t want it to influence my story. But from this came my sweetest story to date.

You can find the story in an anthology of sweet Christmas stories.
